    3. Ron Hacker, 70, of Nason, Illinois was born on May 31, 1940 passed away Monday, February 7, 2011 at his home in Nason, Illinois. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents Leroy and Florence (Weitzel) Hacker. Surviving are his wife Peggy Hacker and three daughters: Julie Smith and husband Craig, Tara Becker and husband Timothy, Amber Randall and husband Scott and Deanna Hacker, the mother of his children and stepchildren Wade Speer and Stacy Speer. His grandchildren: Soven and Ronan Smith, Elliot and Sullivan Becker and Owen and Aiden Randall and step grandchildren: Joshua Speer and Lana Reed; two sisters: Kathleen Elder and husband Paul and Debbie Braun and husband Dale; many nieces and nephews also survive. Mr. Hacker was the owner of the Blue Gill Hole, a bait and tackle store in Nason. He was and will always be remembered as a genuine outdoorsman. Known for his love of fishing and hunting, he was well recognized as an experienced guide in the Rend Lake area. It was Ron's wish to be cremated and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois with Reverend Bruce Neese officiating. The Hacker Family will greet friends from 9:00 A.M. to Service Time 10:30 A.M. Thursday at Hughey Funeral Home. For those who wish, memorials may be given to American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the funeral home or may be mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 721, Mt. Vernon, Illinois 62864.
