Barbara Aline Manley, 66, of Mt. Vernon, Illinois passed away at 9:50 P.M. on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at White Oak Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Mrs. Manley was born on Friday, March 3, 1944 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois the daughter of the late William Earl and Berniece Aline (Dare) Scott. She married Jerry Manley on August 29, 1962 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Surviving family members include her husband: Jerry Manley of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; daughters: Stephanie Chambliss and husband Harley, III of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Sheryl Knight and husband Ed of West City, Illinois and Susan Day and husband Mike of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; grandchildren: Sarah Manley of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Stacey Chambliss of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Ashley Brake and husband Shannon of Benton, Illinois, Amber Prater and husband Shane of Benton, Illinois, Brittany Brake of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Stephen Chambliss of Mt. Vernon, Illinois and Brianna Day of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; great grandchildren: Trinity Brake, Trenton Brake, Tanner Smith, Tyson Brake and Noah Essary all of Benton, Illinois and Brycen Soudan of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; brothers: William Daniel Scott and wife Lenda of Waltonville, Illinois, Donnie Scott and wife Carolyn of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, David Scott and wife Dorothy of Mt. Vernon, Illinois and Andy Scott and wife Janet of Dix, Illinois; several nieces and nephews also survive. Her parents and one great grandson: Trevor Brake preceded her in death. She was a member of Park Avenue Baptist Church. She loved camping and traveling and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. VISITATION: will be held from 5 to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. FUNERAL SERVICES: will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Reverend Chuck Ellis will officiate. INTERMENT: East Salem Cemetery in Jefferson County, Illinois.
