ARTHUR - Dollie Mae Watkins, 94, of Arthur, died at 5:00 p.m. Sunday (February 13, 2011) in Sarah Bush Hospital, Mattoon Celebration of Life services will be 7 p.m. Friday in the Reed Funeral Home, Sullivan. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday. Private family burial will be in the Graceland-Fairlawn Cemetery, Decatur. Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice. Condolences may be sent to the family at reedfuneralhome.net. Dollie was born February 12, 1917 in Dahlgren the daughter of John Raymond and Margaret Ellen Gibbs McClure. She had worked at Brown Shoe Company, Sullivan and had worked as a dietician for various nursing homes. She married Orville Lee Watkins on February 18, 1933 and he preceded her in death on November 11, 1992. Surviving are her grandchildren; James (Lori) Watkins of Arthur, Nancy Watkins of Sullivan; great grandchildren, Jessica and Trevor Watkins of Arthur and Dakota Freese of Sullivan. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son David Joe Watkins, three brothers and three sisters. Dollie was a Christian woman who loved life and helping others.
