Perin Van Deusen Little, 86, passed away in Utah, at the home of his daughter Suzanne Marie, on March 18, 2011. He was born January 27, 1925, in Indianapolis, Ind., a son of Wendell D. Little (a surgeon) and Georgia Van Deusen (a nurse). He served as a sergeant in the Army in World War II, and married Lieutenant Marjorie Benson, a registered nurse from Gans, Pa. Afterward, he graduated from pharmacy school in Indiana and ran three businesses in Champaign-Urbana - Bongart's Pharmacy, University Orthopedics, and 6-L Stables. After his wife's death, he married Dorothy Shank Little, from Danville, who accompanied him as he fulfilled a life-long dream to travel across America. When it came time to put away the road maps, they acquired a cottage on Raccoon Lake in Centralia, where they enjoyed the company and support of Dorothy's children-Sharon (Bill) Harwell, Jane (Joe) Brown, and Joyce Hubbard. He is survived by his children James (Ruth), Suzanne Dastrup, Thomas (Sue), and John (Julie); and by his grandchildren, David (Kristen) Dastrup, Kim Lynn, Benson (Amy) Dastrup, Katie (Briant) Mildenhall, and Derek, Alex (Akky), Todd, Travis (Summer), Tyler, Carson, Tim, and Rainey Little and Doug and Chris Harwell and Gary Hubbard, Heather Beckley and Jessica Hanke; and 21 great-grandchildren. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, a man whose interests ranged from the adventures of travel to fishing, tole painting and woodcarving. He leaves behind his constant companion, Gretchen, his dog and Cookie, his cat
