MT. VERNON - Helen McCormick, 80, of Marion, passed away at 6:45 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2011, at Parkway Manor Nursing Home. As per her wishes, her body will be cremated and the family will hold a private service at a later date. Helen was born on May 16, 1930, in Rock Springs, Wyo., to Steve & Ethel (Wargo) Bucho. She married John "Bud" McCormick on Dec. 1, 1947, and shared 51 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on Dec. 10, 1998. She is survived by her children, Robert and Rebecca McCormick of Belle Rive, Danny McCormick of Benton and Danny Ray and April Lynn McCormick of Mt. Vernon; grandchildren, Jeremy Ryan McCormick, Ian Michael McCormick and Charity Smallwood; great-grandchild Mason Ryan McCormick; brothers, James Bucho of Green River, Wyo., and Albert and Julie Bucho of Smelterville, Idaho; sister, Irene and Herman Thiemann of Torrington, Wyo. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers and one sister. She was a member of the Parish Park Baptist Church in Marion.
