Shirley J. Laird 64-year-old Fairfield resident, Shirley J. Laird, died at 3 a.m. Tuesday, March 22 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. She was retired from Airtex. Surviving are her husband Raymond of Fairfield; one daughter, Sherri Cherry of Marquette, MI; one son, Darrin of Bluford, IL; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Joyce West of Champaign, IL and Helen Stewart of Fairfield. Funeral services for Shirley J. Laird will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 24 at the Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 23 at the Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield. Memorials may be made to Fairfield Memorial Hospital Comfort Room.
