MT. VERNON - Roselee Lease was born on August 12, 1934, daughter of Frank and Lillian Nickrent. She passed away at the age of 76 on March 26, 2011. Roselee accepted Christ as her savior, being baptized in April of 1964 at First Baptist in Vienna, Mo. She is survived by two children, Frankie Lease of Licking, Mo., and Lucetta Stagner and husband Clarence of Licking, Mo.; two grandchildren, Timothy Stagner of Pollock, La., and Robert Stagner and wife Tiffany of Farmington, Mo.; two great-grandchildren, Kodi Arnold of Licking, Mo., and Draegon Stagner of Farmington, Mo.; one brother, Leonard Nickrent and wife Laverne of St. Louis; five sisters, Ester Bocktain of Mt. Vernon, Dorthy Szarwinski of Woodlawn, Barbara Parrot and husband Robert of Woodlawn, Patricia Martin of St. Louis and Martina Kitowski and husband Gene of St. Louis; many nieces, nephews and friends. Roselee was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lillian Nickrent; her husband, Robert Lease; two sisters, Margaret Hodges and Mary Ann McLain; and a special companion, Barney Cadle. She enjoyed working outdoors in her yard from the many flower beds to cutting her own grass until last fall. Her true love was the making of hand-made quilts, from beginning to end, just finishing the last one in February this year for her son, before the cancer rendered her to not see. She also always enjoyed a good mystery book while she relaxed. Memorial service for Roselee is 2 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2011, at Fox Chapel. All arrangements are under direction of Fox Funeral Home.
