LARRY J. ROBERTSON, 69, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 3:20 A.M. Sunday, March 13, 2011 in the Emergency Department of Crossroads Community Hospital in Mount Vernon, Illinois. He was born on Sunday, October 26, 1941 in Johnston City, Illinois, a son to the late Clyde & Nellie (Summers) Robertson. He married Anna Mae Dixon on May 3, 1969 in Mount Vernon, Illinois and she survives in Mount Vernon along with Son: Jeff Robertson; three Daughters: Jill Staley and husband Shawn, Bobbi Braddy and husband James, Lisa George and husband Ron; Grandchildren: Chelsie, Brandon and Breanna George, Autumn, Somer, Addison and Peighton Braddy, Dacoda, Katelyn, McKenzie and Candice Staley all of Mount Vernon; four Brothers: Cletus Rainey and Robert Rainey of Mount Vernon, Leland Rainey of Harrisburg, Illinois and Paul Eugene Robertson of Effingham, Illinois; three Sisters: Virginia June Richard and husband Wayne of Mount Vernon, Eva Kolb of Enterprise, Alabama and Mary Lou Higgenbotham and husband Harold of Effingham, Illinois. Several Nieces and Nephews also Survive. His parents and one brother: Lincoln Robertson preceded him in death. Larry served in the U.S. Army in the mid-1960's, was later manager of the Clark Super 100 filling station in Mount Vernon and was an avid Chicago Cubs baseball fan. VISITATION: will be from 5 to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois GRAVESIDE SERVICE will be held at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Bethel Memorial Cemetery in Mount Vernon, with Reverend Merle Fullerton INTERMENT will follow at Bethel Memorial Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Members of Mount Vernon American Legion Post #141 will conduct Full Military Honors at the cemetery.
