Marian G. Scott, born July 5, 1926, in Mt. Vernon, peacefully passed away May 20, 2011, in Washington state at her daughter's home. Marian moved to Phoenix, Ariz., with her husband La Verne Olson in 1947, until he passed in 1978. She later married Grover Scott Jr., and they continued to reside in Phoenix until he passed in 2007. Marian maintained her home in Phoenix while spending her last years of life in Washington state with her daughter and family. Marian was very active with both Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile throughout her life. Marian will be dearly missed. A 9:30 a.m. funeral service will be held in her honor Wednesday at Green Acres Mortuary Chapel of Light, 401 N. Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85257.
