Carolyn J. Howard, 76, of Ina, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2011, at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon. She was born on Oct. 1, 1934, the daughter of Curtis and Mildred (Pemberton) Pickett. Carolyn is survived by three sons, Brad Howard and wife Betty Jo of Clinton, Ind., Rod Howard of Ina and Terry Howard of Ina; three granddaughters, Brandee Farrington, Brooke Howard and Amber Howard; four great-grandsons, Kevin, Jacob, Matthew and Bryce; a brother, Robert Pickett and wife Cheryl of Bonnie; and a sister-in-law, Pat Pickett of Ina. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Larry Joe Pickett. Graveside services will be held at 12 p.m. Tuesday at Kirk Cemetery in Ina. There will be no visitation. Those attending are asked to go directly to the cemetery. Johnston Funeral Home in Ina is in charge of arrangements.
