Greetings to all, As My Granny Smith used to say, "Well! I swan!" I was born "on the run" in Donovan, Iroquois Co. IL. But Salem, Marion Co. was always home until I wandered off at age 17. My families (Smith and Turner) were a very close knit group and I never heard or learned much family history. When I was about 60 and living in SW Ohio, I became interested and am still hard at it. So, I was understandably surprised to read about this marvelous Turner clan, all of whom are strangers to me. After leaving Salem I wandered to So. California, married and started a family; moved us to SW Ohio; moved to SW Indiana; and am now in SE WY to stay. I think. Would be happy to communicate with any of these Turners (or any others) if my direct line rings any bells: Me b. 6/15/1929; Dad Floyd E. Turner b. 1/15/1887 Jefferson Co, IL; his third wife/my mother Gladys Rozilla Smith b. 12/14/1903 Odin, Marion Co. IL; his father/my grandfather John William Turner b. 4/29/1842 Davidson Co. TN; his wife/my grandmother Martha L. Baldridge b. 8/8/1849 Grand Prairie Twp., Jefferson Co. IL. If you think that's a mess you oughta see my Smiths! Best regards to the whole super list! Floyd E.
