MT. VERNON - Kennith E. Sutherland, 54, passed away at 7:16 p.m. Sunday, June 12, 2011, at Harrisburg Medical Center. He was born Dec. 11, 1956, in Elgin, to Cecil Lavern Sutherland and Joan Sinclaire. He married Susan Hufford on Feb. 26, 1977. He attended school in Thawville and graduated from Salem High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and was an over-the-road truck driver. Kennith is survived by his wife, Susan Sutherland of Harrisburg; a son, K.C. Sutherland and wife Roxanne of Harrisburg; a daughter, Amber J. Sutherland of Harrisburg; three grandchildren, Kassie Cheyanne Sutherland, Rhyse Hunter Sutherland and Ashley Terry, all of Harrisburg; three brothers, Steven Sutherland, Mike Sutherland and Denny Banson; and a sister, Karen Sutherland. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, his Aunt Louis (Ellis) Sinclaire and Uncle Walter Sinclaire. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Palestine Cemetery. Friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Osborn Funeral Home in Dix.
