Donna Jean "Tiny" Flanagan, 71, of Mt. Vernon, died at 9:39 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon. She was born on July 28, 1939, in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of Alva R. and Nellie Mae (McKinsey) Flanagan. She never married. Miss Flanagan is survived by a twin brother, Ronald Dean Flanagan and wife Nancy of Macomb; a sister, Annabelle Cates of Mt. Vernon; two sisters-in-law, Annette Flanagan and Rossi Flanagan, both of Mt. Vernon; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Richard "Buddy," Dorm, Gene, Jack "Squee" and Nelson Flanagan; a sister, Gail Capps; a sister-in-law, Ramona Flanagan; and two brothers-in-law, Cyril Cates and Ed Capps. She was a member of Logan Street Baptist Church and loved to play bingo and go shopping. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with the Rev. Harold Winder officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Catherine Cemetery in Woodlawn. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
