Waymon L. "Speed" Wright, 70, of Cravat, Illinois passed away at 2:45 P.M. on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Speed was born on Thursday, February 1, 1940 in Wayne City, Illinois the son of the late Frank & Opal (Mahan) Wright. He married Betty E. Burton on March 22, 1958. Surviving family members include his wife: Betty E. Wright of Cravat, Illinois; 3 daughters: Terry Fisher and husband Mark of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Sherry Kehrer and husband Steve of Woodlawn, Illinois and Mary Koenegstein and husband Kevin of Odin, Illinois; 7 grandchildren: Jeremy Fisher and wife Amy of Tampa, Florida, Rachel Fisher of Kinmundy, Illinois, Lindsey Fisher of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Josh Kehrer of Woodlawn, Illinois, Jordan Kehrer of Woodlawn, Illinois, Amber Sprehe and husband Jason of Woodlawn, Illinois and Christina Sexton of Odin, Illinois; great grandson: Breven Daniel Fisher of Tampa, Florida; 2 brothers: Raymond Wright of Monroe Center, Illinois and David Jacobs and wife Linda of Alabama; 4 sisters: Inez Capps and husband Bill of Rock Island, Illinois, Janice Anacker of Rockford, Illinois, Connie Spoonmore and husband Richard of Madison, Florida and Shirley Wilcox of Madison, Florida; several nieces and nephews also survive. His parents preceded him in death Speed worked at Agripride F.S. in Woodlawn, Illinois and was plant manager at Agripride F.S. in Belle Rive, Illinois. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading and traveling. VISITATION: will be held from 5 to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, January 28, 2011 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. GRAVESIDE SERVICES: will be held at 3:30 P.M. on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Boyd Cemetery in Boyd, Illinois. Reverend Jeremy Hamson will officiate. INTERMENT: Boyd Cemetery in Boyd, Illinois.
