CHRISTOPHER -- Marye Evanchik, 86, died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2011, at her home. She was born Oct. 29, 1924, in Christopher, the daughter of Nick Starasta and Mary (Spontak) Starasta. She was married to Joseph Evanchik and he preceded her in death March 21, 1995. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church in Christopher. Survivors include two sons, Stephen Evanchik of Christopher and Nick Evanchik of Plantsville, Wis.; grandchildren, Jackie, Jullie, Stephenie, Joseph and Mike; sister, Anne Pastorino of Mount Prospect; sister-in-law, Ann Murphy; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother, Charles Starasta; and one grandson, Nick Jr. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday Jan.28, 2011, in Gilbert Funeral Home of Christopher.
