Regina Louise Montfort, 96, passed away peacefully in Sacramento, Calif., on Oct. 16, 2010. She was born in Louisville, Ky., on June 26, 1914. She is survived by her six children, Nancy, Memerie, Bill, Jack, Susan and David; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Regina was admired, cherished, loved and will be terribly missed by all. She was courageous and strong when challenged, loving an supportive always. "Re" was truly our "Steel Magnolia." She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, William F. Montfort. A family graveside service arrangement is pending.
