Mark William Flowers age 50 of Mt. Vernon, IL passed away Friday, January 7, 2011 at his home in Mt. Vernon. Mark was born on July 16, 1960 in St. Louis, Missouri a son of Kenneth and Elaine (Koppen) Flowers. Mark was a truck driver and attended Casey Avenue Baptist Church. Mark is survived by one daughter Melissa Flowers of Mt. Vernon; his father Kenneth of Mt. Vernon; one brother, Roger D. Flowers and wife Sherri of Mt. Vernon; and one special cousin Sharon and husband Fred Dalmau of Santa Clara, California. He was preceded in death by his mother. Graveside Funeral Services for Mark Flowers will be held 2:30 p.m. Thursday January 13, 2011 at the Griffith Cemetery in Brownstown, IL with Rev Rob Dyer officiating. For those who wish in Lieu of flowers memorials may be given the First Presbyterian Church in Mt. Vernon and will be accepted at the funeral home or may be mailed to the church at 2424 Broadway Mt.
