Hazel Colclasure 81-year-old Burnt Prairie resident, Hazel Colclasure, died at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, January 22 in the emergency room at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. She wrote the Burnt Prairie News for the Wayne County Press, Carmi Times, and Grayville Navigator. She was also a bus driver for Crawford Bus Service in Lockport, IL. Surviving are four daughters, Cheryl Head of Mt. Vernon, IL, Debbie Robb of Essix, IL, Angie Anselmo of Millbrook, IL and Kim Hill of Springfield, IL; two sons, Ed Colclasure Jr. of Meadowlands, MN and Bob Colclasure of Romeoville, IL; 14 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ethel Weyer of Orrville, OK. Funeral services for Hazel Colclasure will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 26 at the Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield. Burial will be in Burnt Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 25 at the Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield
