    3. Marty B. Minor, 53, of Bluford, Illinois passed away at 2:10 A.M. on Sunday, January 31, 2011 at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. He was born on Thursday, April 18, 1957 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois the son of William Wendell Minor and Doris (Woodworth) Minor. He married Paula Shields on October 4, 1986 in Bluford, Illinois. Surviving family members include his wife: Paula (Shields) Minor of Bluford, Illinois; daughter: Mallory Minor of Bluford, Illinois; mother: Doris Minor of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; sisters: Janet Buchanan and husband Gene of Wayne City, Illinois and Cheryl Underwood and husband Denny of Fredricktown, Missouri; nieces and nephews: Mark Girvan and wife Jodi of Bluford, Illinois, George Girvan and wife Allicia of Zionsville, Indiana, Tamywa Thurman and husband Chance of Ozark, Missouri, Amanda Pense and husband Sam of Fredricktown, Missouri and Amber Esmon of Fredricktown, Missouri; great nieces and nephews: Courtney and Garrett Girvan of Bluford, Illinois, Caleb and Joshua Girvan of Zionsville, Indiana, Carter and Kenzie Thurman of Ozark, Missouri, Shelby Lynn and Dylan Pense of Fredricktown, Missouri; aunt: Louise Brucker of Seneca, Illinois; uncle: Woody Woodworth and wife Barbara of Bluford, Illinois; several cousins also survive. His father: William Wendell Minor, two uncles: Robert W. Minor and Charles Woodworth and his father and mother-in-law: Paul and Doris Shields preceded him in death. Marty enjoyed camping and fishing, he loved his dog "Maggie" and Ford trucks VISITATION: will be held from 5 to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. FUNERAL SERVICES: will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Pastor Mark Shell will officiate. INTERMENT: Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois. For those who wish, memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge of St. Louis and will be accepted at the funeral home or may be mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 721, Mt. Vernon, Illinois 62864.
