VERNON - Annibelle French, nee Lappin, 85, of Glen Carbon, formerly of Fairview Heights, born Sept. 3, 1925, in Scheller, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, at Eden Village Care Center in Glen Carbon. Annibelle retired from Scott Air Force Base. She had also been employed for many years at Alcoa in East St. Louis. She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Fairview Heights and was active in the community. She dearly loved and missed her travels in the RV with her husband by her side. Annibelle was preceded in death by her husband, E. Dwight "Jack" French; her parents, Robert Leslie "Les" and Pearl, nee West Lappin; a granddaughter, Niki Brandkamp; two sisters, Opal Nye and Shirley Wendell; two brothers, Marion Lappin and Robert Lappin; and her beloved dog, Harry Truman. She is survived be three daughters, Monna Bishop and husband Ronald of East Alton, Paula Brandkamp of Swansea and Pamela French of Maryville; seven grandchildren, Kelly (Dan) Long, Matthew (Stacey) Schamberger, Beverly Ann Brandkamp, Robert (Michelle) Brandkamp, Stephen Brandkamp, Nathan (Ozlem) Bishop and Krista Bishop; and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Kassly Mortuary Chapel in Fairview Heights with the Rev. Kevin Weaver officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Kassly Mortuary. Memorials may be made to St. John United Church of Christ in Fairview Heights or the Hospice of Southern Illinois. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.kasslyfuneral.com.

    3. I have her husband's parents as William Arthur French and Cecile Pearl Sandy. Cecile's parents are Homer Elmer Sandy and Della Mae Davis (from my Davis line).
