Does anyone know if Vincent Tolley b abt 1828 who married Elizabeth Ann Upton 29 Aug 1850 is possibly a brother to Vincent's father John? Sounds like possibly two brothers married two sisters. Of course this is just speculation on my part as I don't see any other Tolly marriages in the HCI archives for early marriages. TOLLY, Vincent UPTON, Elizabeth Ann 29 Aug 1850 1850 census Hamilton Co, IL - 15 Oct 1850 (parents both born in KY and children all born in IL) Daniel Tolley 47 Jane Tolley 37 (Jane Dailey?) Vincent TOLLEY, a retired carpenter, died at 5:15 p.m.yesterday at his home, 1205 S. 26th St., after an illness of three weeks following a paralytic stroke. His age was 76y10m. The body will lie in state at the family home, where friends may call. At noon tomorrow, the body will be removed to the funeral home. Mr. TOLLEY was born October 30, 1866 in Hamilton County, the son of John and Nancy (UPTON) TOLLEY. He had made his home in Jefferson County since a small boy. On November 21, 1908 he was united in marriage with Clemmie WILLIAMS at Fairfield, IL. His widow survives. Mr. TOLLEY worked as a carpenter for 50 years. He retired because of failing health about 10 years ago. Surviving, besides his widow, are six sons, Olan and Logan of Mt.
