Davis died at 7:25 last night at his home, 1215 Cherry street, 13 days after observing his 83rd birthday. Mr. Davis, a section worker on the L. S. N. Railroad for 39 years, retired in 1936. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p. m. at Myers Chapel. The Rev. Bird Green will officiate and burial will he in Oakwood cemetery. The body will remain at Myers Chapel, where friends may call at any time after 4:00 p. m. Thursday. Mr. Davis was born February 12, 1870 in Hamilton county, the son of Fred and Eliza (Wright) Davis. He had been a resident of Jefferson county for the past 40 years. He was married to Cora H. Proctor, (sic.) who preceded him in death in 1940. Mr. Davis was a member of the Baptist church. He Is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Eliza Ann Beckham of Mt. Vernon, a brother, Charley Davis of Evansville and one grandchild.

She was 75 years, one month and three days of age. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p. m. at Myers Chapel, with the Rev. Bayne Wilson officiating, and burial will be in Oakwood cemetery. The body will remain at Myers Chapel, where friends may call after 10 a. m. Tuesday. Mrs. Crews was born December 31, 1876 in Posey county, Ind., the daughter of Moses and Elizabeth (Knight) Stallings. She was married to Richard Henry Crews, who preceded her in death in 1938. Mrs. Crews was a member of the Methodist church. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. W. F. Hicks of Mt. Vernon. Mrs. Alfred Dale Levick of Spokane, Wash., Mrs. Gale Lowry of Mexico, Mo. and Mrs. C. A. Presley of Okeechobee, Florida; three sons, Leon Crews of Burbank, Calif., Richard R. Crews of Cleveland, Ohio and Wayne Crews of Mt. Vernon; a brother, Percy Stallings of Mt. Carmel; a sister, Mrs. H. O. Mann of Lindsay, Calif.; and 12 grandchildren.

Thursday at Good Samaritan Hospital. Mr. Crenshaw, a painter and decorator, was 46 years, eight months and 11 days of age. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:30 p. m. at Myers Chapel. The Rev. Allen Stephens and the Rev. Bird Green will officiate and burial will follow in Oakwood cemetery. The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel, where friends may call at any time. Mr. Crenshaw was born August 19, 1912 in Mt. Vernon, the son of Frank and Lucy (Ellis) Crenshaw. He was a lifetime resident of this city. On December 24, 1936 he was married, in Mt. Vernon, to Eva Hobbs, who survives. Mr. Crenshaw was a member of the Park Avenue Baptist church. He was also a member of Paintiers Local No. 888. Surviving, besides his wife, are two sons, Ronald of Mt. Vernon, Stephen, at home; a daughter, Janet, at home; two sisters, Helen Edmondson and Olive Barcas, both of Mt. Vernon; and one granddaughter.

Vernon and late of Gary, Ind., died Sunday as a result of injuries suffered in an auto accident. Mr. Creek was born March 14, 1918 at Enfield, Ill., the son of Frank and Flossie (Miller) Creek. He was married Dec. 25, 1937 to the former Marie Hayes of Mt. Vernon, who preceded him in death April 28, 1969. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Flossie Keele of Mt. Irene formerly worked at Colonial Manor in Zeigler and Mattingly Nursing Home in Energy. She was born Jan. 20, 1923, in Freeman Spur to Stanley and Della (Rudzinski) Stomberski. Irene was united in marriage with Dale M. Howell on April 20, 1945, in Tampa Bay, Florida. He preceded her in death Jan. 27, 1987. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Cathy R. and Joel Thomas of Lake of Egypt; son and daughter-in-law, Randy L. and Marian Howell of Herrin; daughter-in-law, Linda Howell of Sesser; five grandchildren, Joseph Burton of Chicago, Joshua (Lindsay) Burton of Carbondale, Heather (James) Burkhalter of Marion, Patricia Howell of Herrin and Jamey VanZandt of Mount Vernon; three great-grandchildren, Dante Burkhalter, Brooke Burkhalter and Autumn Burkhalter; sister-in-law, Delores Stomberski of Herrin; and special best friend, Linda Tabor of Orient. He was born Oct. 6, 1932, in Mt. Vernon, Ill., to the late Esco and Corona Glaus Collier. He had lived in Mississippi County most of his life moving to Jackson in 1980. He had been employed as a salesman until his retirement and recently had begun working with Clark Construction Company in Cape Girardeau. He was a member of Shady Acres Church of Christ in Sikeston. On May 27, 1955, he married Linda Kellett who survives of the home. Other survivors are one son, Kevin Collier of Dexter; two daughters, Jill Collier Burton of Charleston and Jennifer Collier Hipp of St. Louis County; two sisters, Patricia Ann Seib of Poplar Bluff and Willa Jean Mattix of Houston, Texas; and six grandchildren. Mr. Cook, who lived most of his lifetime in Nashville moved to Mt. Vernon about four months ago. He is survived by his wife, the former Vinetta Burks of Mt. Vernon; a son, Dennis of Nashville; a daughter, Mrs. Norman Hassler of Alexandria, Va.; two brothers and two sisters.

Sunday at his home, 513 south 19th street, at the age of 68 years, two months, and 12 days. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p. m. Tuesday at Myers Chapel with the Rev. Leslie Elliott officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery. The body will lie in state at Myers Chanel where friends may call after 4:00 p. m. today. Mr. Cook was born May 14, 1896, in Wayne county, the son of Henry and Nancy (Mattoe) Cook. In Mt. Vernon, in 1932, he was married to Lillie Lance, who survives. He is also survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jeannette Cox of this city and Joyce Elaine, at home; two brothers, Charles and Earl Cook, both of Mt. Vernon; three sisters, Mrs. Blanche Hite of Ashley, Mrs. Ada Maynor of Quincy, and Mrs. Lola Webb of Anna; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Joe Frank Cook. Mr. Cook was employed for over 40 years by the Mt. Vernon Car Company, was a member of the B. R. C. of A.

Mrs. Collison was bom July 10, 1880, in Pennsylvania, the daughter of Henry and Sarah (Beggs) Trunick. In 1905, she was married to Tom Collison, who preceded her in death on Nov. 25, 1957. She is survived by a son, Lewis H. Collison of Wauwatosa, Wis.; and three grandchildren. Mrs. Collison was a member of the Presbyterian church.
