His marriage license has been transcribed and submitted to the JCI website by Bob Loman: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~iljeffer/marriage/mo_kissner_haynes.html Looks like they "fibbed" about their ages when they married on 1 Nov 1940. According to their gravestone at Thomason, his first wife Cecil Irene Haynes was born in 1925. I believe Cecil Irene Haynes is daughter of Benjamin Harrison Haynes and Ida Marie Catron as she is in 1940 census in Webber Twp, JCI with them on 18 Apr 1940. I don't think you all are going to get this right on, because of all the info. for Rado that is different. The closest you will come to a birth date will be with the census info. if it is accurate and we all know how accurate that can be. The 1900 census does have her as Rhodo E. Crider age 35 born April, 1865. The Jefferson county sight for cemeteries has Rado buried at Oakwook cemetery, and there is no photo of a stone for her. The site only lists a death date of November 11, 1949, which does not correspond to the date Betty sent of October 7, 1949, and neither of those dates correspond with her obit. which I recorded from the actuall image from 2 editions of The Mt. Vernon Register-News dated November 8, and November 9, 1949. The November 8, 1949 edition says she died today, which was November 8. The November 9, 1949 edition says she died yesterday which would have been November 8, 1949. So I'm going with a death date of November 8, 1949. Her obit. also has Rado as being 97 years, six months and 20 days old at the time of her death, which would be a birth date of April 19, 1852 which doesn't correspond with the birth date Betty gave or with census records. A birth month and year of April, 1865 are consitant with the info. presented so far but the acuall day is still in question, probably the 18th or 19th. So she was probably born around April, 1865, if we can trust the census info. I really doubt she was born in 1852 though. Apparently whoever gave the info. for her obit. wanted her to be a lot old than what she really was. Help! There is no Daniel King in the 1850 or 1860 census in Hamilton Co, IL. There is no Rado King in 1860, 1870, or 1880 census in HCI, JCI or FCI. Anyone know more about this lady's family? Could Rado be a nickname? Could this be Sarah Caroline King as shown in the census records below? This might be her family but her birthdate would not be correct per the obit. 1860 census T5SR4E FCI: Daniel King 26 Martha J King 26 Sarah C King 1 John E King Two Weeks 1870 census T4R4E JCI Post Office: Hams Grove Daniel King 34 Martha King 34 Caroline King 11 James King 8 1880 census Eastern Twp, FCI Daniel King 49 Martha J. Thanks Betty. That's what I finally figured out. I reported the missing census page image on ancestry.com.
