    3. Genevia Gwaltney, 94, of McLeansboro, died at 6:50 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, at Centralia Manor. She was born on July 28, 1916, in Hamilton County, the daughter of John Logan and Minnie Rose (Johnson) Lasswell. She is survived by two sons, Jack Gwaltney and wife Sue of Avon Park, Fla., and John Gwaltney and wife Rhoda of St. Louis; nine grandchildren, one deceased; 16 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, a grandson, five brothers and four sisters. Genevia was a retired sales clerk with the former Ben Franklin store in McLeansboro. She was a member of McLeansboro Eastern Star and Rebekah Lodge and Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.     3. William Dee Risinger, 79, of Grayville, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, at his home. He was born Feb. 4, 1931, in Olney, the son of Orland and Opal (Bass) Risinger. On June 5, 1950, he married Rosetta O'Donley and she survives. Bill was a warehouse manager. He was a Deacon of the Northside Baptist Church in Grayville and an active volunteer for Meadowood Nursing Home in Grayville, Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi and the Civil Defense. He was a Navy Korean War veteran and member of the American Legion and enjoyed singing, golf and guitar. Survivors include his wife, Rosetta Risinger of Grayville; two daughters and their husbands, Belinda and Randy Funkhouser of Grayville and Yvonne and Mahlon Hallam of Mt. Vernon; seven grandchildren, DeAndra (Mark) Martin, Kayla Funkhouser, Kaydee Funkhouser, Carissa Hallam, Anthony Hallam, Micki Hallam, Austin (Carrie) Hallam; and five great-grandchildren, Madison Martin, Alena Martin, Kelsie Martin, Rex Hallam and Leo Hallam. Visitation and funeral service will be today at Northside Baptist Church in Grayville. Visitation is at 4 p.m. and continues until the funeral at 5 p.m. Following the funeral service, Bill's remains will be cremated. Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Leota Thomson of Carbondale, formerly of Ashley, departed this life at the Hawthorne Inn in Marion on Friday, Nov. 12, 2010 at 10:50 a.m. She had attained the age of 101 years, 6 months and 20 days. Mrs. Thomson was born on April 22, 1909, in Ina, the daughter of Fred and Zelda (Clinton) Brown. She was united in marriage to Edward Thomson on Oct. 21, 1933 at Creal Springs, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 1986. Leota was a farm wife and school teacher, first in one-room schools and then Mt. Vernon public schools. She was a member of the Ashley United Methodist Church in Ashley and attended Grace Methodist Church in Carbondale. Left to mourn her passing are her two daughters, Anna Mae Alphonse and her husband Ivan of El Paso, Texas and Esther Lee Hays and her husband Denny of Carbondale; three grandchildren, one great-grandson, nieces, nephews, other relation and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother. Funeral services will be held at the Campagna Funeral Home in Ashley on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with interment to follow in the Ashley City Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of services. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Ashley Methodist Church or the Southern Illinois Hospice and will be accepted at the Campagna Funeral Home.     3. MT. VERNON - Rebecca "Becky" Jo Hahn, age 55, of Mt. Vernon, died Sunday Nov. 14, 2010, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Town and Country, Mo. Becky was born Aug. 13, 1955, in Mt. Vernon, daughter of Carl D. and Doris Mae (Whobrey) Webb. She married Brent Hahn on July 16, 1976, in Mt. Vernon; and he survives in Mt. Vernon. Becky worked for the Jefferson County Health Department until failing health. She had attended West Side Missionary Baptist Church and Central Christian Church in Mt. Vernon. She is survived by her husband Brent Hahn of Mt. Vernon; one daughter, Celeste Hahn of Mt. Vernon; mother, Doris Mae Webb of Mt. Vernon; one brother, David Lee Webb of Mt. Vernon; two sisters, Carla Mae Davis and Carol Jean Martin both of Mt. Vernon; one grandson, Dante Sussen; step mother-in-law, Wanda and husband Tom Hopkins of Mt. Vernon. She was preceded in death by her father, Carl D. Webb; one brother, Jimmie Carl Webb; in-laws Don Hahn and Marilyn (White) Hahn; and a sister-in-law, Judy Wilson Webb. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Newell Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with the Rev. Merle Fullerton officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn.     3. Andrew "Andy" Knox Reid Jr. of Lucas, Texas, died at 1 a.m. Friday, Nov.12, 2010, at his home. He was born Aug.27, 1944, in Baton Rouge, La., the son of A. Knox Reid Sr. and Eva "Eve" (Dailey) Reid. He grew up in Mt. Vernon and graduated from Mt. Vernon Township High School in 1962. He served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He married Debra Perrachione on Dec. 6, 1975, and she survives. Andy loved hunting, fishing and his horses. He retired after working over 20 years for EDS Corporation. He is survived by his wife Debbie, of Lucas, Texas: his sons, Craig Lee Reid and Scott Lee Reid, both of Austin, Texas; his sister, Ruthie Reid Alexander and husband Michael of Mt. Vernon; his niece, Ashley Reid (Alexander) Hadley and husband Jeffrey of Louisville, Ky.; and his nephew David A. Alexander of Mt. Vernon. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was born on Wednesday, December 17, 1958 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois the son of Bobbie A. and Verla Mae (Miller) Bodine. He married Susan Ellis Arnett on April 4, 1994 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Surviving family members include his wife: Susan Ellis Bodine of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; parents: Bobbie and Verla Bodine of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; son: Roger Wayne Bodine and wife Heather of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; daughter: Jaime Lynn Logan and husband Tony of Arkansas; 6 grandchildren: Shaylynn Bodine, Calieb Bodine, Jasmine Hughey, Mikey Bodine, Shane Bodine and Cody Bodine; 2 stepchildren: David Hughey and Jason Ellis both of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; sister: Janice Green and fiance Chad Vance of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; half-brother: Bud Hughey of Mt.
