    3. Leila Rose Porter, 67, of Texico, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at her home. She was born in Texico on Aug. 4, 1943, the daughter of Lester and Vera Shafer Lagow. She married Harley Ray Eller. She later married Melvin Porter and he survives in Texico. Mrs. Porter graduated from Bluford High School and worked at Good Samaritan Hospital for 37 years until retirement. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Kim Clemons and friend Brian Hooten of Mt. Vernon; three stepdaughters, Melynn Vasquez and husband Rick of Middletown, Raina Campbell and husband Danny of Thompsonville and Linda Stoker of Iuka; a stepson, Dwayne Porter of Thompsonville; a brother, Norman Lagow and wife Sharon of Texico; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Michael Ray Eller. He funeral service will be Saturday, March 5, at 1 p.m. at the Osborn Funeral Home in Dix with Mr. Marty Mills officiating. Burial will follow at Union Chapel Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.     3. Rhonda Kay (French) LaRoche, 49, died unexpectedly in her Carpentersville home on Feb. 27. She was born on June 12 in Aurora. She is survived by a daughter, Sydney Anne LaRoche, of Chicago; her mother, Alice French, of Belvidere; two sisters, Linda French of Belvidere and Christine Cully of Honesdale, Pa.; a nephew, Matthew Clark; and a niece, Allison Clark, both of Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her father, Darrell R. French, in 1999. Rhonda graduated East Aurora High School in 1979. In her youth, she played flute and piano, laying a foundation for a lifelong love of music. She enjoyed a successful career in the insurance industry, and for the last eight years, she was employed as an account manager by Assurance Agency in Schaumburg. She considered her colleagues to be her friends. She was an excellent cook and a prolific baker of Christmas cookies. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her daughter, who shared Rhonda's unique sense of humor. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Belvidere. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 4, at Laird Funeral Home in West Dundee, from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Assurance Agency has established a trust fund for her daughter.     3. MT. VERNON - Our beloved mother, Mary Patt Underriner, passed away on February 23, 2011, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Mary Patt was born in Wabash County, the daughter of Clyde Robert and Mary Theresa Crawley Fearheiley. She was married to Bernard William Underriner for 51 years. Mary Patt was a life member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. A life-long resident of Wabash County, Mary Patt received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from St. Mary's of the Woods. She taught school in Allendale for several years. Mary Patt dedicated herself to being a homemaker and mother who took pride in maintaining her home and surroundings. She was a caring and committed wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. First and foremost, she enjoyed spending time with her children and their families. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel Women's Golf Club, Reviewers Matinee, Birthday Club, co-founder and member of the Women's Study Club and played in numerous bridge groups. Mary Patt was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Robert and Mary Theresa Crawley Fearheiley; husband, Bernard William Underriner and brother, Robert Clyde Fearheiley. She is survived by her children Mike (Carol) Underriner, Teresa (Terry) Black, Bill (Mary) Underriner, Susan Lahr, Joe (Lisa) Underriner, and Cindy (Sitaleki) Militoni. She leaves behind grandchildren Quinn Underriner, Derek (Wendy) and Elliott Hedin, Blake and Kyle Underriner, Nicholas Lahr, Will Underrriner, Sione, Aaron, Laura, and Mathew (Tara) Militoni; great-grandchildren Evan and Ella Hedin, Kyla and M.J. Militoni, Mataio Militoni and Andrew Anderson; sister-in-law, Mona Fearheiley; and five nieces and nephews. Mrs. Underriner has donated her body to SIU Medical Center in Carbondale. A Memorial Mass was held Saturday, February 26, 2011, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. A gathering of family and friends was held after the Mass in St. Mary's Gathering Room. Welch of Mt Vernon; two brothers, Charles and Richard (Pat) Rinkle; a sister, Jane (Larry) VanAvery; four granddaughters, Gracelynn, Casandra, Destiny and Tiffany; along with a longtime friend, Nikky Johnson.     3. Jack Donnelley Ibach passed away on Feb. 25, 2011. He was 79 years old. He was born in Reading, Penn., and raised in Long Island, N.Y. He was a retired Army veteran. Among all his adventures in the Army, he served during the Hungarian revolt during the 1950s. He also helped arm two atomic bomb during the atomic tests on the Eniewetok Atoll and was one of only four of the other people at these tests still alive in the 1990s. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Margaret. He is also survived by his three children, Mary Bradley and her husband Gary of Mt. Vernon, Charles Robert Ibach and his wife Kimberly of Antrim, N.H., and James Ibach and his wife Daria of Newberry, Fla.; and three grandchildren, Danielle Kern, Cameron Ibach and Benjamin Bradley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Robert and Ida Jane Ibach. Per his wishes, there will be no services. Instead, there will be a private family service in New Hampshire at Gregg Lake, where he spent many happy hours observing bountiful wildlife

He was born on Thursday, June 10, 1943 in Dix, Illinois, a son to the late Othelo John "O.J." & Blanche (Elliot) Beal. He married Charlotte R. Parker in McLeansboro, Illinois on July 15, 1967 and she survives in Bonnie along with three Daughters: Vickie Bennett and Sherry Hatton and husband Larry, all of Bonnie, Illinois and Margaret Jolly and husband Benny of Mount Vernon, Illinois; a Son: Robert Beal and wife Ruthie of Bonnie, Illinois; three Brothers: Pete Beal and wife Mary Lee of Boyd, Illinois, Clifford Beal of Mount Vernon, Illinois and Clyde Beal and wife Bonnie of Mount Vernon, Illinois; a Sister: Ada Standerfer and husband Jerry of Mount Vernon, Illinois; two Sisters-In-Law: Cathy Beal of Sandwich, Illinois and Peggy Beal of Richview, Illinois. Fourteen Grandchildren, three Great Grandchildren, Aunts, Uncles, several Cousins and Nieces and Nephews also survive including a special niece: Rhonda Skelton and husband Mark of Tennessee and special nephew: Terrell McAndrew of Fredericksburg, Virginia. He had most recently been a carpeting installer for Lang Furniture in Bonnie and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1376, Mount Vernon Eagles Aerie Lodge #2791 and Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. VISITATION: will be from 5 to 8:00 P.M. Monday, February 28, 2011 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 1, 2011 also at Hughey Funeral Home with Reverend Jack Lucas officiating. INTERMENT WITH HONORS will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Jefferson County, Illinois.
