He was more than 80 years old. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Waltonville M. E. Church, conducted by the Rev. Mr. WEISS, and burial will follow in Knob Prairie Cemetery. The body is to be taken from the Fry Funeral Home at 2 o'clock this afternoon to the family home where it will remain until time to go to the church for funeral services tomorrow. John Braden and had son Albert Harrison Braden. They lived in Jefferson County, Illinois and she died in 1896. I believe she was only 29 at the time. An uncle told me the story of her death. That she had been trying to get her husband to take a bag of feed to the barn and it wasn't done. They didn't have a regulur gate, sort of a ladder up up side of fence and down on the other. She put the bag of feed on her should and started up the ladder gate and died with a ruptured blood vessel to the brain. She was dau. of Albert and Elizabeth Jane Drew of Jefferson Co.,Ill. and her brother, my grandfather Albert b. Dec 25, 1872 Jefferson Co., Illinois related this story to his oldest son my uncle James Gibbs. I can't get any information on deaths of her parents-hoping an obituary might give a clue. Edward "Ed" August Richard Bothe, 90, of Mt. Vernon, Illinois passed away at 12:15 A.M. on May 17, 2011 at Nature Trail Nursing Home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Mr. Bothe was born on August 4, 1920 in New Orleans, Louisiana the son of the late Edward August and Ruby (Booske) Bothe. He married Lorraine Edler Fox in New Orleans, Louisiana on August 23, 1950 and she preceded him in death on February 13, 1995. Surviving family members include his 2 sons: Edward Randolph Bothe and wife Melinda of Chester, Virginia and Richard Stephen Bothe and wife Ann of Texico, Illinois; daughter: Marion Louisa Miller and husband Marc of Shiloh, Illinois; grandchildren: Roger Bothe and Lindsay Bothe both of Chester, Virginia, Paul Sills of Texico, Illinois and Christina Olvera and husband Luis of Kingsport, Tennessee; great grandchildren: Brittany Olvera and Bradley Olvera of Kingsport, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews also survive. Mr. Wilkins was born on November 15, 1916 in Marion County, Illinois the son of the late Jesse Floyd and Linnie Hester (Byars) Wilkins. Darrelyn Stephenson, 33, of Fairfield, passed away at 11:30 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2011, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney. She was born Oct. 1, 1977, in Centralia to Darrell Stephenson and Sue Taylor. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Richardson Funeral Home in Wayne City. Willis J. Payne, 56, of Whittington died Saturday, May 14, 2011, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. He married Carrie (Gregory) on Nov. 26, 1977, and she survives. Mr. Payne was a farmer for many years, and had been a volunteer with the Ewing-Northern Fire Department. Willis owned and operated with his family the Payne Mowing Service. Lucy Bell (Kelton) Allsopp, 88, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 6:30 A.M. at her home in Marion. Lucy was born February 10, 1923 in Williamson County the daughter of Sam "Tobe" & Ruth (Walker) Kelton. She married Kenneth Allsopp on October 15, 1972 and he preceded her in death. She has been a member of Marion Second Baptist Church since she was 12 years old. She was a clerk at Chaney's Grocery for over 35 years and for over 45 years she did volunteer work at the VA Hospital. Lucy served was a past president of the American Legion Auxillary where she helped to deliver gifts to nursing homes. She was also a member of the VFW and AmVet Clubs Survivors include; Brother - Bill Kelton and wife Joan of Mt. Vernon Sister - Lillie Barringer of Mt. Vernon Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews Preceded by Parents, Husband, Five Brothers and 4 Sisters Funeral services will be Monday, May 16, 2011 at 1 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Dr. Wagner officiating. Vaughn Mt. Vernon, IL Register News - Monday 27 May 1946 James H. Vaughn Relatives have received word of the death of James Henry VAUGHN, 83, former resident of Jefferson County. Mr. VAUGHN died last Wednesday in Paragould, Ark. He resided in McClellan Twp. for a number of years before moving to Arkansas. Surviving are his widow, Minnie; three daughters, Mrs. J. H.
