Thats all I have on him. Lucy was born in 1856 in Saline Co, Ill ( tho it may have been Gallatin at the time ) They married in 1888. Supposedly in Illinois, although I cannot find a marraige record anywhere. In 1900 Lucy is in Lake Co TN with Charley, Mabel and Ida as her step-daughter. Ida married a man named Johnson, I cannot find his first name. In Lucy's obituary in Aug 1941, in St Charles Co, Mo Ida Johnson of Colorado Springs was mentioned, that is how I know her last name. Lucy was ( I believe ) in Pike Co Ill. Living with the William Morris family as a servant, it also said she was a niece. I assume she was married before him,but don't know. She did marry George L Sickman between 1910 and 1920 as they are in Bollinger Co, Mo in the 1920 census. If any of this helps I will greatly apreciate any help you can give. I believe that Elvira Gibbs married John after the death of his first wife as there were other children. She had Albert Harrison Braden by him and seems like I seen a Lou also? So he evidently remarried again after Elvira's death in 1896 which is understandable and my have had several other marriages. If you ever run across anything on Elvira who died in 1896- I would appreciate your letting me know. I am actually trying to get information on the deaths of her parents Albert Gibbs who d.between Oct 1874 and 1880 and wife Elizabeth Jane (Drew)Gibbs who may have d. in Jefferson co., ca. 1881 or 1882. I find that on the 1850 bradley co tennessee census. His son James first married Jerusha Haney and they had Ambros and Barney. Ambros was taken to Texas when he was 8 years old by JL & Mary Chalfant. (1880 Census) My dad and Roy Rhynes of Arkansas (James grandson) always said Ambrose was killed crossing the Red River by a sheriff posse as a horse thief. Barney married Fay Allen and they lived in Marion Il. James next married Mary Manuse and they divorced. James then married Mary Farmer and they had Oscar Rhynes, (married to Carrie) and they raised their children in Arkansas. One of their sons was Oscar (his sister was Veda) and Oscars son was Roy Rhynes and they visited with my dad and mom (Ernie and Velma Lee Rhynes) until their deaths. Roy has a daughter, (and more) Kathy Beckwith in Illinois. I have contact with her and her husband. James and Mary Farmer Rhynes children were Ambrose, Barney, (step to Mary) Ada, Oscar,Veda,Leona,(step to James) William. Veda married Pat Achord and he died leaving her expecting a child. They also had other children, I believe. I have a photo of Pat Achord along with some other musicians from Jefferson County Il.
