Sandy Sorry about the mis typed dates. I must be tired from the trip. ;-) We had a great time. One other thing on Joseph DZ Brown. Other researchers have him married when he came to JCI. From what I can find out he came out of Smith County TN area about the same time as my Vaughn's did. They show his first wife as Sarah Sallie Byars 1798-1840 JCI His children by her are: William Brown 1821 - ? Frances E Brown 1827 - 1852 John Smith Brown 1829 - 1864 George D Brown 1831 - 1833 Fountain L Brown 1833 - ? I have not researched this but thought I would share it. Wayne If you look at the 1850 census, there is a son age 16 that could possibly be from an earlier marriage. We have the marriage in 1847 to Cordelia Dow so this "Fountain" would have been born before that. Maybe the son from this earlier marriage prior to coming to IL ?? 1850 census Dist 10, Jefferson Co, IL - 2 Aug 1850 228/228 Joseph D.Z.
