Seeing the mention of Modesto, CA brought back memories for me. My parents moved to Lodi, CA after they retired in 1988 and were tired of the cold winter is northern IL. I lived in the San Francisco Bay area at the time and we used to go to the big water slide park near Modesto. So much fun, even for older adults! Wish I had photos of my dad sliding down those huge water slides! He really enjoyed it. Mom was not as fond of taking risks and preferred the "smaller" slides.
