Thanks Sheldon. I think I just read the gravestone incorrectly for Joseph James Atchison at Memorial Gardens, JCI. Their gravestone has Bernadine's birth year but no death date at all. I have Lucretia "Lu or Lulu" Maude Carter first married to Frank Beal 5 Nov 1899 with two children. Frank and Lu are buried together at Oakwood, JCI. Her name is below her husband's and kind of hard to read but I enhanced the contrast on the photo and could read it ok. After Frank Beal's death (1875-1907) she married David I. Atchisson 4 Jul 1913 WCI I'm digging on the Don Cameron line. I have more than one Don Cameron. Donald Eugene Cameron b 23 Jul 1938 d 7 Jul 2009 s/o Travis Henry Cameron and Grace Leora Wiggins. I have another Don with no dates and sketchy info. Well maybe some of that rain will make to the Kansas City area. We need it bad. Bob -----Original Message----- From: Sheldon Jones <[email protected]> To: iljeffer <[email protected]>; ilfrankl <[email protected]> Sent: Sat, Sep 14, 2013 9:47 am Subject: Re: [ILJEFFER] The Flood in CO. Thanks for the update Pat, glad to hear your family is safe -- the Big Thompson flooded in 1976 and the South Platte flooded Denver in 1965. Colorado Springs has had localized flooding (mainly Manitou), we have rec'd only 2-3" over here in NE COS (we have been in a donut hole apparently). I know several of my colleagues whose basements flooded. Hwy 24 is damaged and they have to repair the westbound lanes - Waldo Canyon burn scar runoff will be an issue for 10+ years. The eastern CO plains have sure picked up a lot of rain, 4-8" in places - the great part is most of it will just seep down to the aquifer; some people may already be planting winter wheat and this will be bad for that.. sigh... If this storm had hit just a few weeks from now - we would be talking many feet of snow - watch out Colorado! (The record along the front range was in Dec 1913... eeek) A lot of this rain is heading east - take care cousins, SRJ > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] [mailto:iljeffer- > [email protected]] On Behalf Of Pat Corona > Sent: Friday, September 13, 2013 1:19 PM > To: [email protected]; [email protected] > Subject: [ILJEFFER] The Flood in CO. > > Dear Friends, > > Thank you to all of you who have called & written regarding the safety of > my daughter, Catherine, during this epic flood in Colorado. Pat, It is good to know that loved ones have 'weathered' the storms (sorry about the bad pun). Our son Nate lives in Boulder, and other then short messages stating all was OK with him we have heard little. He did post to his Facebook page late yesterday (our time) "Blue Skies over Boulder!" We have been hearing from him just how short water supplies have been for the past 14 to 16 months, always wishing for rain. Well, sometimes we should be careful what we wish for - we might just get it. For the residents out there now comes the cleanup, and for some (perhaps all too many) the grieving. Kim
