    3. Ed Blessin was a rural mail carrier for the area's of Jefferson County Illinois for many years. I remember him as a child, delivering our mail. We always looked forward to him, one time a year he brought the little chicks we had mail ordered. Imagine carriers today doing that! His dad, Ed Blessin was a good man. She graduated from Mt. Vernon Township High School and attended Rend Lake Junior College and Lockyear Business College. She was united in marriage to Albert W. Smith on March 22, 1942 in Des Plaines, IL . They moved to River Grove , IL where Audrey was a homemaker and raised five children. After retiring in 1978, they moved to Mount Vernon , IL , where she lived until moving to Wisconsin in 2008. She was a member of the Mount Vernon Women's Club, was active in the River Grove, IL PTA, and was an active member in her church. Audrey had many interests, but especially enjoyed playing organ, crocheting, traveling, gardening, and cats. She is survived by her five children: Thomas "T.R." Smith (fiancé Lynda Fernow) of Maple Park, IL, Beverly (Gary) Carpenter of Clarkston, WA, Barbara (Dix) Fulton of Issaquah, WA, Judy (John) Barrett of Loyal, WI, Richard (Lucille) Smith of Elgin, IL; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
