    3. Please see below that Joe and Judy Herbert live in West Frankfort as of 2009. BENTON - Kirby Doxsie, 66, passed away Friday morning, June 19, 2009, at his home. He was born Aug. 14, 1942, in Benton, the son of Derling and Grace (Leonard) Doxsie. He married Judy (Herbert) on March 9, 1963, in Benton, and she survives. Mr. Doxie was a lifelong auto body repairman and mechanic. His life was his family, especially his three grandsons. His other interest was his Tuesday night music session with the band and friends. Mr. Doxie is survived by his wife, Judy Doxsie of Benton; two daughters, Toni Luster of Benton, and Jamie Conley and husband, Jim, of Tunnel Hill; three grandsons, Noah, Brody and Brendan; brother-in-law, JOE HERBERT and wife, CAROLLYN, of West Frankfort; sister-in-law, Jean Furlow and husband, Bill, of Christopher; sister-in-law Mary Doxsie of Benton; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Doxsie was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Travis; and three nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2009, in Morton and Johnston Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jeff Stark and Billy Grammer officiating. Burial will be in Masonic and Oddfellows Cemetery in Benton. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 ! p.m. Monday at the funeral home. She attended school in Champaign, Illinois, St. Joseph, Illinois, and also Climax School.  Mrs. Hawkins was a member of Donoho Prairie Christian Church, and enjoyed sewing and quilt making. He worked at North American Lighting in Assembly. He also worked as Draftsman - Rochester-Goodale, Muldovane Spain- Salem. He was Designer at ACCO in Salem, Illinois. He was also Production Manager for CMCI in Centralia, Illinois. He lived in Centralia, Illinois most of his life. He was member of NRA and Bassmasters. He attended and graduated from Centralia High School in 1965. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved watching CHS basketball "Go Orphans". He enjoyed fishing, boating, and gardening. He was great handyman. He loved his family dogs Daisy May, Maggie May, and Brandy. He also loved spending time with his friend Dick Kerins. He was in the Army and served from May 1967 to April 1969. He was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany during the Vietnam War Era. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Irvin Funeral Home in Centralia with Pastor Stephen Krenz officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Evergreen Cemetery. He began his teaching career in one room schools and later retired from teaching after 35 years. He was Superintendent for Rome School District when the school was built in the 1950's. He was Assistant Regional Superintendent in Jefferson County for 16 years. He planted a small tree farm on his property while planning his retirement and sold Christmas tress for 15 years. He was a Charter Member of First Community Church in Mt. Vernon and in more recent years, he attended First United Methodist Church in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.   FUNERAL SERVICES: will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Reverend Victor Long will officiate. VISITATION: will be held from 5 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. INTERMENT: Oakwood Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. The Chaplain of Mt.
