Check out the information below. IL-TRACES-L@rootsweb.com The Illinois Traces list is not a query or surname list, but a list to which one may submit transcribed information including obituaries, out of copyright biographies, wills, and other items which will then be entered under the appropriate counties in the ILGenWeb Project archives. You can reach the archives by going to http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb Then select your state of interest from the menu...there are LOTS of great files in there, many which came from the IL-Traces-L@rootsweb.com submissions. To subscribe, send a message to: IL-Traces-L-request@rootsweb.com Put the word "subscribe" (without the quotes) in the body of the message. Nothing else; just the one word.
