This is just another year to remember the 1925 tornado, Even though, one can go on to the web site of the disaster, there are still persons that still alive that can recall things that happenend March 18, 1925, I just have spoken with Louise Ward, my mother's younger sisiter, She is 89 and can remember a fireman carrying her to the Murphysboro Fire Dept, where my grand father Charles Baxmann worked, Her older sister Lorraine Baxmann was buried under bricks when the fireman arrived, Lorraine followed the man and her sister to the firehouse and stayed there until their mother Beulah came to take them home. This disaster has been instilled in me since I was a very young child in the 50's Mom would not let me forget and please do not forget the people that also had this tragedy S Giles St Louis MO
