They can be contacted at: jchs@verizon.net. They have a small fee for photocopying. Microfilm copies of Jackson County newspapers ( e.g. Daily Free Press (Carbondale); The Daily Independent (Murphysboro), and others) can be ordered via interlibrary loan from the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library in Springfield, although this service may be limited to Illinois residents. Using microfilm works best if you know the year, or better the exact date, of the death of the person.
