    3. I have been following this discussion about Asbury cemetery, as the young man buried there was the husband of my great grand aunt, Nettie DONALDS. I have been hoping that someone would know the location of Asbury cemetery. It seems likely to me that the cemetery would have been in Jackson or Randolph county, based on the following newspaper obituary: "At the residence of John DUNHOUSE, in Kinkaid Twp., on Sunday 12/1/1889, Charles BILDERBACK age 32 years died. He was well known to the citizens of the western part of Jackson and the eastern part of Randolph Co., being a son of the late Henry BILDERBACK. The cause of death was a kick in the abdomen from a horse which injured (sic) was inflicted on last Friday and terminated fatally the following Sunday. The deceased was a young man of excellent traits of character and had a host of friends who will sincerely regret his untimely death. He leaves surviving him a widow and two children. His remains were laid to rest in the Asbury Cemetery on last Monday." The widow of Charles BILDERBACK was Nettie DONALDS (1866-1954) who later married John DUNHOUSE. The two children were Frederick C. BILDERBACK, who married Anna LEVAN, and Walter A. BILDERBACK, who married Emma WHISLER. 3. Thank you, Tom, for answering. I feel too that this Asbury Cemetery had to be in Kincaid TWP. or at least in Jackson County. Most of my Asbury relatives were born in Jones Ridge and buried in Glenn Cemetery and Buchanan Cemetery. Could it have been that one of these Cemeteries was previously named Asbury? 3. I suspect that Charles BILDERBACK was buried in Glenn cemetery. I will be in Illinois at the end of May, and I will look for his grave marker. I do not know if Glenn cemetery was ever called Asbury cemetery, but I am guessing he might be buried there because that was where his father-in-law, Moses DONALDS, was buried. Another possibility is that Charles was buried in the cemetery that is located just off of Route 3, in the same general area as Buchanan cemetery and Glenn cemetery. I don't know the name of this cemetery, but it is near Bob O'Daniell's house. The cemetery is not on any Jackson County maps. It is an old cemetery and I know that quite a few HERRIN family members are buried there. I will check it at the end of May also. Still another possibility is that there really was an ASBURY cemetery that we do not know about. I know there were several cemeteries on family farms that are not marked on the Jackson County maps, as I have been to some of them. Unfortunately, a few have been plowed over by subsequent owners of the farms. I hope this was not the case for ASBURY cemetery. Other possibilities are that the Ava newspaper mistakenly identified the cemetery as Asbury cemetery, or that Brenda Garver Lee erroneously transcribed the newspaper obituary. Of these two possibilities, the former seems much more likely than the latter.
