You might want to try the Jackson County Historical Society in Murphysboro. They've published a number of cemetery books and might know something about Asbury. Lori
I have a copy of the IL State Gen. Soc. Cemetery Location Project list for Jackson County, in which they have tried to locate every known cemetery in the county, and I see no Asbury Cemetery on the list, even among the alternative names. However, as we know there were Asbury's around the Ava area, so it's certainly possible it once existed near there. Maybe the folks at the Jackson Co Hist Soc could tell you what small cemetery in that area has lots of Asbury's buried in it, and you might find your guy there. Good luck, Juli Claussen
