Carol, The only Evans I have listed in the 1844-1906 death index is Logan Thomas Evans. There is no date of death given for him but indicates he is listed in Death Register #1. These registers should be located in Jackson County. The 1904-1915 index shows the following people named Evans: Fred Evans, died 11/25/1908 Oscar Evans, died 4/22/1914 William Evans, died 3/30/1911 If any of these are of interest, let me know. The 1904-1915 index gives much more information about the deceased including in some instances place of birth, date of birth, name of father, name of mother, and place of burial.
