The first floor only is open, but that is where the newspaper archive and the census microfilms are kept. For other family history related information I would suggest checking their on-line catalog first. If the books are not located on the first floor, you have to put in a request for them, and wait for them to be brought to you. Only the south entrance is open. Parking for visitors can be hard to find, and will be more so once students begin arriving for fall semester in about 2 weeks. Be prepared to walk a ways from where you have to park to get to the library. There are very nice new microfilm readers and printers now, which are great for copying obits.
