    3. Hi Pamela, I'm sending a copy to Bill STRAWHACKER because I think our interests overlap. First Leah GERBER was b 1778, Reading, Berks Co., PA, d. 1807 Northumberland Co., PA. On 1798 she m. Daniel STROHECKER. b 10 Oct 1776 Reading, Berks Co., PA, d. 19 Jun 1826. To this union were born six children: Samuel (1799), Jacob (1800), David (1802), John Adam (1804), Daniel (1806) and Sarah (1807). Was it about this time that Daniel remarried? If so I don't know about it? Did Daniel remarry and move to IL or move to IL and remarry? I would like to focus on Daniel STROHECKER b 2 Nov 1802 Reading, Berks Co., PA, d 7 Oct 1888 Cambridge Twp., Henry Co., IL. I have the information that is available on-line, perhaps LDS. I can correct your information regarding Leah GERBER. She was first child of John GERBER b 1747 d. 8 Aug 1819 Berks Co., PA and Anna Marie ADAM b abt 1755 Berks Co., PA., d 5 Jun 1811 Reading, Berks Co., PA. John GERBER b 1747 was the first child of Johannes GERBER d. 1777 Berks Co., PA (copy of his will is available from Berks Co.) I think the Johannes you had was not the right one. As far as the father of Johannes d. 1777 I have come to an impasse. In the early 1900's, a railroad right of way was built through the GERBER family cemetery. I can identify the few headstones remaining as (see Berks Co. web site) the spouses of the GERBER children. However, our chances of going back to Europe are very small.
