Jan Thank you for this information. I was JUST thinking about this today and am at a time in research I need to get several dozen various certificates from Henry County. With all the various sites in Il I was not sure where to start. I went to the site and I see that it should be no problem to get marriage records or death records. But for birth records of deceased one must be a "Parent, legal guardian or surviving spouse (must have certified death certificate)" Does anyone know if they will issue birth certificate of deceased to other individuals? I have numerous direct relatives born abt 125 years ago and have been dead for at least 50 years that had no children and currently they only have survivng great great grandchildren or great great grand nephews and nieces. Also what is the general time for processing and mailing out if you can provide the death and marriage certificate #, volume book etc? I had placed orders with the State Archives for the recent Death Certificate program and the first batch took six months and the second request has not been sent after 8 months. Since the local office we are paying for is it a faster turn around time? Thank you for any input.
