My family has several old albums and we are trying to identify our relatives in the photographs. We hope to do this by finding out when the photographer was in business. The following are photographers that we need to find out when they were in business. 1. My family has several tin type photos that N. D. Davis took of relatives, that we are unable to identify. On the back of one of the tin types is the following inscription: N. D. Davis, City Gallery, Cor. State & Frist streets, Geneseo, Illinois. Another says: N. D. Davis, Photographer, Geneseo, ILLS., and a 3rd says: N. D. Davis, Geneseo, Illinois. We need to know when this photographer was in business in Geneseo. 2. My family has several tin type photos that J. N. Greene took of relatives that we are unable to identify. On the back of one tin type is the following inscription: Photographic Gallery of Art. J. N. Greene. Corner State and North Streets, Geneseo IL. Another photograph has this inscription: Green�s Art Gallery. Corner of State & North St., Geneseo, IL. And another photograph has this inscription: Gallery Green�s Block, Geneseo IL, photographer. Need to know the time period this photographer was in business in Geneseo. 3. Seeking information on Stevens Portrait Photographer, Corner State & Exchange St., Geneseo IL. Need to know the time period this photographer was in business in Geneseo. 4. Seeking information on J.
