    1. [ILHENRY-L] LUTHER family of Geneseo
    2. Baldwin
    3. Diana, I am working on the same family of LUTHERs. George Barthel LUTHER is my GGGG grandfather. I do not have George Peter's death date either. I have been able to get information on 9 generation of Luthers in America. I have much information on those deceased and living. I also am in contact with my 6th cousins in California who are researching the Luthers. Also have been in contact with the LUTHER House museum in Deerfield, Il. >From all my research I show your ancestor as being referred to as Peter and mine as George. I do know the LUTHERS all had "Saint" First names and went by their middle names. The cousin in CA said that their was some sort of family scandal that divided the lines. I have not got the information on that yet. I do have photos of my line starting with George Barthels daughter, Caroline in 1857 and one that may be George himself (We are not sure if it is him or Caroline's brother) we had them of two of her sisters but they were the glass type and exploded one day. I do have one major fact difference than what I can see on some other websites. I do not show the family coming to the US on the Schooner Harmony on Dec 31, 1820? I have looked endlessly for that ship and no luck I did come across this information: Also in this information it shows Johann Jacob's wife as Louisa Landering not Louisa Sanders. The Luther's were traveling with the Landerings/Paeters and I wonder if the ships captain confused Saunders with Launderings or if there was a change somewhere. I am working on Johann Jacob LUTTER/Louisa Catherine Wilhemina SANDERS' son George Peter who married Mary Elizabeth MILLER. I was JUST thinking about this today and am at a time in research I need to get several dozen various certificates from Henry County. With all the various sites in Il I was not sure where to start. > I went to the site and I see that it should be no problem to get marriage records or death records. But for birth records of deceased one must be a "Parent, legal guardian or surviving spouse (must have certified death certificate)" > Does anyone know if they will issue birth certificate of deceased to other individuals? I have numerous direct relatives born abt 125 years ago and have been dead for at least 50 years that had no children and currently they only have survivng great great grandchildren or great great grand nephews and nieces. > Also what is the general time for processing and mailing out if you can provide the death and marriage certificate #, volume book etc? I had placed orders with the State Archives for the recent Death Certificate program and the first batch took six months and the second request has not been sent after 8 months. Since the local office we are paying for is it a faster turn around time? > Thank you for any input.
