Well the reunion is over. I guess you could call it a somewhat success. It was the first time my cousin and I had done one and we weren't really sure how to do it. We had about 30-35 people show up. We were a little disappointed that none of the Lanes,Curls or Reynolds from Dewitt County never showed up. We were hoping to get some more information in that line. We did have a lot of Hamptons though. I was very happy to find that there was more looking for the past. Maybe we can take that line back a little more now. If you don't know whether you belong to that line or not here are a few names for you to consider. Thomas Jefferson Hampton married Sarah McCumber. Their son John Edward Hampton married Mariah Reynolds. Son Alexander Hampton married Rose Nell Curl Rose Nell Curls parents were John W. Curl and Delcina Lane. She (Rose) was born in Dewitt County. Delcinas parents were Asher Lane and Sarah Emmert. The town of Lane was named after her grandparents. I will get together what I have and post it later this month. I am going to try to get to Dewitt County and see if I can find more information. I do hope someone can help me out. You all have a good and happy 4th.
