There is an August Turner who was naturalized on Feb 16, 1877. The certificate number is 91. Usually this doesn't have any more information than the name and the place where the person was born. In this case he was born in Sweden. Good luck in your search. My ggrandfather and his family were from Kalmar, Sweden. His name was Samuel August Johansson Torne Turner (b 1830). He took the name Turner when he came to the US. > > I would like more information about my Grandfather but I think this will take some searching. I would like to hear from someone who can give me information about resources in Lynn Center. I would also like to know about the trip by flat boat to Rock Island.
