Hi, I am new to the list and I am anxious to learn more about Henry Co and contribute what I can. My grandfather came to Rock Point by flat boat in 1870 and moved to Lynn Center, Henry Co where another child was born in 1871. My ggrandfather and his family were from Kalmar, Sweden. His name was Samuel August Johansson Torne Turner (b 1830). He took the name Turner when he came to the US. I would like more information about my Grandfather but I think this will take some searching. I would like to hear from someone who can give me information about resources in Lynn Center. I would also like to know about the trip by flat boat to Rock Island. I found this very interesting. Another area I have not had too much success is locating the intent records for naturalization for a family that lived in Lynn Center. This is a lot of questions but I would appreciate any help in pointing me in the right direction. Thanks to all of you, Beth
