    3. Greetings, I would like to thank all of you that responded to my posting. I learned more in a couple of days that I could have ever learned on my own. It was awesome and I was thrilled!!! I wrote for a copy of these naturalization papers some time ago and was told they could not find them but I gave the name Samuel August Turner without knowing he was known as August Turner. Could someone tell where to write to for a copy of the naturalization papers and also a copy of the intent for naturalization. Also, are the Lutheran Church membership records available for Henry County? Thank you again for all of your help and I love hearing about Henry Co and all of you. My family is from Kalmar, Sweden and maybe I have common roots with some of you. The certificate number is 91. Usually this doesn't have any more information than the name and the place where the person was born. In this case he was born in Sweden. Good luck in your search. My ggrandfather and his family were from Kalmar, Sweden. His name was Samuel August Johansson Torne Turner (b 1830). He took the name Turner when he came to the US. > > > > I would like more information about my Grandfather but I think this will take some searching. I would like to hear from someone who can give me information about resources in Lynn Center. I would also like to know about the trip by flat boat to Rock Island. I found this very interesting. > > > > Another area I have not had too much success is locating the intent records for naturalization for a family that lived in Lynn Center. > > > > This is a lot of questions but I would appreciate any help in pointing me in the right direction. > > > > Thanks to all of you, > > Beth > > > > ==== ILHENRY Mailing List ==== > > --------------------- ILHENRY-L Mailing List --------------------- > > Have you visited the Henry Co.
