    1. [ILHENRY-L] Re: St. Anthony's Cemetery
    2. Hi Bob; You've sparked my interest! :) Clyde and Helen Sheets were next door neighbors to my mother when she was growing up in Atkinson, and they were very good friends for many many years. I knew Helen as "Ma" Sheets. May I ask what your connection to the Sheets family is? Not familiar with the other names you mentioned. My family line does not have a DEZUTTER, but it does have a DeShepper, if there might be a connection there. Have you checked the Henry County Webpage at <A HREF="http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilhenry/">http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilhenry/< /A> ? Scroll down to the Cemetery listings and go to that page.....you will find a listing for all of the Atkinson/ Cornwall Township cemeteries, and a booklet that is available from the Henry County Genealogical Society for $10, which includes St. Anthony's. These records are not online, but I have found the HCGS cemetery booklets to be very good. For anyone else who has not been to the Henry County webpage, it would be to your advantage to peruse this sight for genealogical information in Henry County. Susie Martin-Rott has one of the best County pages, in my opinion, in the whole country. Very informative, very well put together, and very easy to browse. Check it out. BTW, for those of you who are thinking Susie & I must be personal friends...I have never met the lady, nor are we related.....I give this endorsement just from my experience of using the web, and the countless number of County pages I have seen. :) I also might add the Atkinson Museum has a very extensive collection of photos, history on the town, and it's early residents. Bill Freddy, Curator, was given an award last year for his work on setting up this museum, I believe by the State Historical Society. He is more than happy to help in anyway he can. You can write to him c/o Atkinson Township, 400 N. State St. P. O. I think it is in Cornwall Township outside Atkinson. Is there one on-line? Is one available to purchase? I am looking for many people, most with last names of VERKRUYSSE or other variants, i.e. VERCRUYSE etc. and DEZUTTER. Also looking for: Peter and Lucy EECKHOUT, James and Mary APPLEMAN, Clyde and Helen SHEETS. Bob Verkruysse SunnySide, GA >>
