Does anyone have a copy of the following Quarterly? I have a CD that includes my family that came from Germany. The CD gives the names and ages along with the year of arrival. It doesn't give the ship name or port of departure. If there is more information in the original article I would appreciate knowing what it is. The names I am interested in are; Sophie Papendick, Caroline Papendick, S. Papendick (should be L. for Louis), Wilhelm Papendick, and Fredereike Papendick. They came here in 1862. The source of the information is listed as; "SHIP PASSENGER LISTS." By Michael Cassady. In Illinois State Genealogical Society Quarterly, vol. 16:1 (Spring 1984), pp. 5-17. I have recently become a member of the Illinois Gen. Society and also Henry County Gen. Society, but this particular Quarterly is not available from them. Thanks in advance, Judy Papendick [email protected]
Hello Judy: I am working with the World Family Tree discs and looked up the names listed on their Immigation Lists - Germany, 1850-1874. All names are there. The ship name was Robt Peel. The Captains name was N.J. Juergens Port of Embarkation was Marseilles, Mode of travel was Cabin. Hope this helps. Doris Richards
