Thank you Jacquie for your reply, We have been in touch about a year ago on a Lievens-Vandevoorde couple, you may remember. Yes, I would be gratefull if you could give me the names etc. of the Van Hyftes, because there are 2 other Van Hyfte branches in Atkinson, of which I only had partial data: a Peter Van Hyfte, married to a Rosalia Vermeire, who emigrated in 1892, and a Leopold Van Hyfte, married to a Amelia Cauwels, who emigrated in early 1870's. Anything you may have on any of the 3 branches, who are all related to my mother's Van Hyfte family, or in fact on any Van Hyfte in the area may contribute to a better knowledge of this family. On the Ellis Island website I have found much more Van Hyftes, but I cannot place them all at this time, so I still have a long way to go, both here in Flanders and the Netherlands, and in the US.
